Is it just me, or has it been super hot this year?! There’s nothing like being out in the hot sun trying to tend those precious veggies or flowers and finding yourself so drained, so thirsty.
I have the answer: Rainbow Grass.
This juicy smoothie is not only refreshing, energizing, and delicious — it’s healthy, too! Imagine that.
Fuel up with potassium, antioxidants, iron, calcium, vitamins C, K, E, B3, B5, and A, and much more!
Kick your gardening shoes off, sit back under a big shade tree (or the air conditioning – I won’t tell) and enjoy this tasty creation of mine…
Rainbow Grass Juice-Smoothie Concoction Recipe
- 1 (frozen) banana
- 1 scoop Amazing Grass Wheat Grass powder
- 1 cup herbal tea (or liquid of your choice)
- 5 1/2 Rainbow Chard leaves (5 the size of my hand, 1 half that size)
- 4 ice cubes
Toss above ingredients in to your blender and give it a few whirls until everything is blended nicely. Serves one big appetite or two smaller ones.
This drink is actually more like a juice consistency, but still has a (runny) smoothie volume to it. If you like your smoothies super thick, cut back on the herbal tea (or liquid of your choice). I personally prefer my smoothies on the thicker side, but this was so super delicious and energizing, I’ll definitely recreate it again – and soon!
