September 9th was my wedding anniversary. And the night before, my husband began getting things ready for the anniversary dinner he was preparing us.
I watched in awe as my husband created a masterpiece!
Overnight Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped in big sections
- 1/3 of large onion, sliced in rings
- 1 bottle Italian Dressing
- water
Directions:
- Peel and slice cucumber. Drop in a bowl.
- Chop large tomatoes into big sections and add to the cucumber.
- Slice about a third of a large onion (or more, if you want) and add to the mix.
- Pour entire bottle of Italian Dressing.
- Fill empty dressing bottle about half-full of water and add that.
- Stir to mix flavors and ingredients well.
- Cover and sit in fridge overnight.
- Take out next day and enjoy!
You could also add other veggies from your garden. Broccoli would be awesome. I can also see okra and/or corn in this as well.
I’m one blessed lady to have a husband who loves to eat healthy. He loves his meat, but he also craves his veggies. I’m so proud to be the wife of a man who eats so well!
